This chapter discusses the use of biometrics in remote identity authentication services. Biometrics is a unique representation of a person, and they are not secrets. Biometrical data could be obtained without the individual's notice, then being used without owner's permission. Digital watermark technology is introduced to ensure that the captured biometric images are genuine. Watermark embedding to fingerprint images based on classic Wong's algorithm, transform based Discrete Consine Transform (DCT) and Dual Tree Complex Wavelet transform (DTCWT) are demonstrated.
