This chapter traces links between community and curating within the Artery artist co-operative, through a discussion of the co-operative's social events which, in turn, reflect a social and curatorial ethos of inclusivity. A history of Artery's formative years at the Preston and Northcote Community Hospital (PANCH) introduces key personnel, while also providing background context for the co-operatives primary values and aims. Key interviews are provided by Bianca Hester, Hilary Jackman, Justine Khamara, Viv Miller, Jeph Neale, Kristen Phillips and Jonas Ropponen.
